Santa on the beach on Christmas

 One day there was a man that wanted to dress up as Santa for Christmas. But then he just remembered that Christmas was in summer.

He said to himself “ it would be really hot but it’s Christmas I should just wear it for my family.” So he wore it and he went to the beach because that was a good place to be on a hot Christmas.

He arrived at the beach and was happy to see his family. After giving hugs and kisses  to his family. He got his chair from his car and laid down on it. But when he got on the sand he quickly ran close to the sea and put his chair down and sat down.

He said “ He liked the sand because it was soft and golden. When he laid down and saw the sky and said “WOW the sky is so beautiful.” He then said “ I can hear the waves splashing me and the air blowing towards me which is really nice and 

relaxing.

He loved the air because he was so hot in his Santa costume but the air was also blowing the sand in his mouth.

Then he looked at the sea and he heard the sea moving and stuff. He then fell asleep for 1 hour and then finally his niece came to wake him up to come and eat.

He said “ okay, Ohhh I can smell the BBQ. Then he packed up and also said “wow the taste of this food is yum” so he ate more.

Then they all went home because it was dark and went to sleep.

Mana the protector.

One day there was a woman that was at home thinking of how proud she was about all the things she did until now. Mana was one of the protectors of the world. Yes there are other protectors. When Mana was a little girl she wanted to protect the world from bad things.

Let’s just say if there was a monster  Mana would go and defeat it. Of course Mana was a little girl when bad things happened and she already knew that so she did some practise with the old man but he was once a protector of the world so he knew how to fight. His name was Master Gab but Mana just called him Master because Master Gab didn’t like her using his real name.

So over all the years Mana had training  with Master she was ready at the age of 27 but sadly Master died right when Mana was ready to protect the world.

So she started defeating bad monsters, evil people and all the bad things and lived happily ever after training other kids so they can be ready to protect the world from evil things.

The famous little girl.

 One day there was a little girl named Bella, That is 10. She is famous for acting and singing. She didn’t love singing but then she decided that she could try. So she tried and tried and she got the hang of it. That’s because she never gave up and that’s how she became famous. 

Then she was invited to a show to act in and she was amazing. She was tired after all the things she’s been doing and so she went home and straight to bed. When she got on bed she fell asleep as soon as she jumped on the bed.

But when she fell asleep she fell into deep sleep. After 1 hour she wakes up from her bedroom and then dad finds her but when he saw her he said”Excuse me why are you in my house” she said “what do you mean?” Afterwards the little girl tries to convince that she is his daughter.

After the man still isn’t convinced but still lets the girl stay. Then she realises that if her dad doesn’t remember her then is she not famous . but then she was like”ehh who cares I’m so tired  so I want some rest”, so she went back to sleep and woke up finding her dad and other people standing next to her but in the hospital. She asked all of them”where am I?” Dad says “you're at the hospital because we thought something happened to you but you're fine.” she says  i'm still famous?” Dad says “ yes you're still famous, why? She says  never mind.”

When she was fine it was time to go back home then the famous little girl said “How long have I been sleeping?” Dad says “ five whole hours.” Five whole hour” she said  in a high voice. She thought in her head wow so short before. But then went to concerts and acted in other moves.

Then she lived happily ever after in a big mansion being famous.

My picture prompt story

 One day me and my daily went on a vacation because we didn’t really  go out all the time. I was so excited because my dad said that we were going to the beach. When we arrived it was so beautiful, I felt like I was in heaven. I could see the blue,shining and cold ocean. 

I also saw a hot,bright sun shining upon us. The best thing I saw was the blue sky with the sun. It was amazing. I could smell the fresh air going through my nose. I could also smell the yummy food we brought.

 I could taste the yummy food we made. I also could taste the sand that somehow came in my mouth. I can hear the waves splashing and the leaves smashing together.

 I could also hear the beautiful birds singing. So it was time for me to go for a swim. I hated the beaches that had waves but I was bored.I could feel the heavy,big wave splashing on top of me. I hated it when the waves went on top of me because I drown. It was for us to go so I got changed.

My fun day writing

Yesterday the whole school was having fun playing and also not doing any work. Before we played games we were supposed to the hall to sort out the lines. We are all in house lines likeR1 or R2. The r stands for rata. There are 4 houses and they are rata, kauri, nikau and kowhai. They all have colors red is rata,  kowhai is yellow, nikau is blue and kauri is green. 

Everybody was supposed to come in their house colours like me. I was in rata and I was wearing red. We  were all split into 2 teams like R1 or R2. I was in R2. There were four games. The 1 one was to capture the flag done by Miss Kyee and Miss Smith. The second game was the three legged race done by Whaea Sangita. The 3rd game  is Rob the nest done by Mr Nath and the last game is Ant form done by Mrs Tofa and Mrs Forsyth. 

The winner was kowhai. I was happy because we all had fun. My favorite game was the three legged race because we had to sing a song as loud as we could. I had so much fun.

My Mini castle picture prompt story.

Hidden behind the maze of branches stood a miniscule, enchanted castle. It was so easy to miss among the towering trees. Miniscule means something small like the castle. It was like the whole world was humongous except for the castle. It was like there was a mouse that lived in there because it was mini.

I thought that castles are taller than trees and they are but what I’m talking about right now is way smaller. Anyone could have stepped on the mini castle but couldn’t because they were huge and the castle was mini. I picked it up because I was the only one that saw it and went home with it.

Then I heard little screams. I wondered who had a small voice and was screaming then I put the castle close to my ear and heard voices. I opened the door and saw mini people. They were screaming because they thought that I’m going to eat them but then they said” please please don’t eat me” and I said “ I’m not going to you” then they were very confused but then I went to my sisters room and put them in a doll's  house. 

Even though nothing worked like the tv they were still pleased that they didn’t get eaten. Then they were happy to live with us because we didn’t eat them. That would have been gross. Then I was happy because I got to smash their old castle because it was smelly and old. But they did enjoy what we did, give them a new home and a new castle. {doll house}

My Thank you letter to Te Oro

Recount writing about what I did for mothers day

On Sunday I helped my mum with the food because we were making heaps of food for the people that were coming. We got the vegetables and other stuff like meat. I was so excited for the people to come because I haven’t played with their kids in a very long time since the lock down started. The food that we had was BBQ, oka , taro, banana {not the yellow the green one we cooked it}  cutted fish, chicken hearts, taro I think we had more but I can’t remember it. Oka is a food that you put coconut cream in and cucumber and tomato you also fish in which is why I love eating oka. 

The people coming to my house were the people that came to my church and what I mean my church I mean my dad's church because he’s the pastor {leader} so they were coming to my house. My mum was so happy because we had so much fun. I also had fun throughout the day because I could play with the kids and watch the mum dance.

My picture prompt story

On a beautiful day I decided to go for a walk with my family. While me and my family walked along the path we saw heaps and heaps of rubbish on the floor so we went inside and went to put it in the right bin. Before we started to pick up the rubbish we could smell something horrible and that was the rubbish bin. 

The reason why it was smelly was because there was food that was wasted and got old and made the horrible smell. I heard two birds singing together on the tree with their nest waiting for their baby hatch. When we went to pick up the rubbish we saw food in them that was gooey then I said that I didn’t want to pick up more rubbish because it was too yucky for me and I didn’t like it.

But then my mum said to me “oh come on you can wash your hands when we get home”. Then I said to my mum “ you are right” so I started to pick up as many as I can to make the park clean. When me and my family were done we went out of the park and looked back and was proud of ourselves for cleaning the park for the kids. Then we went home proud and happy.

25 of april when war started. People in the soldiers  had to die to protect us. Families and friends worry. Red flowers are called poppies.

I know I’m not that good at drawing but I tried my best and this took me a long time to finish.

Dawn parade

1.  What date do we celebrate Anzac day?

On the 25 of April .

2. “There metals glinted under the streetlights. What does ‘glinted’ mean? 

It means shining 

3. ‘Leo gazed at the long list of names…”what does the word ‘gazed’ mean?

It means stared 

4. Why do we wear poppies on Anzac day?

 Poppies grew in the field where soldiers died. Then this man called McCrae who was also a soldier who wrote a poem about poppies so it’s a reminder of all the people who died in the war. 

5. Why was the parade called the ‘Dawn parade?’

Soldiers  wanted to remember their friends who had died so they decided to meet at dawn because it is peaceful and quiet.

One day there was a giant who lived on the mountains.The next day he was so bored looking at trees and rivers. All he wanted was to have something to play with so he climbed a very tall tree and saw a boat on the ocean so he climbed down and ran as fast  as he could to get that boat. When he got to the ocean he walked to the boat and just grabbed it. He didn’t even care to see the people trying to swim to land.


When he grabbed the boat he went to a city that was right next to the ocean. He then opened a roof from someone's house and looked through it. All the people that were on the ground were screaming and running away from the giant because they thought that he was there to eat them. The person on the ground in the blue van  was so scared to be stomped on that he went crazy and was ready to calm down  and drive probably.


When he finished looking into the houses he got bored again and went to have fun playing on the mountain with his new boat. The people that ran away came back and saw that the giant was gone. Then they were happy because they did not get eaten by the giant.
