My story about The king's birthday

Me and my classroom are learning to read a book and write about what happened. So today I read The king's birthday. One morning the king was just waiting on his throne for people to say happy birthday to him but no one came. He thought to himself “maybe it’s not my birthday after all” so he went to the library and looked for a book called Royal birthday book. When he found it and looked for his name. When he found his name he looked at his date and his birthday and said “it is my birthday today”.

The king went over to the garden where the Royal gardeners. They were picking flowers. Then the king asked them “ do you know what day it is today” they said “ it’s Friday your majesty” while they were cutting roses.

Then he went to the kitchen where the Royal cooks were baking a cake. He asked the Royal cooks the same question he asked the Royal gardeners and they said “it’s baking day your majesty” as they were baking the cake.

He then went into the courtyard and asked the Royal Menders “ do you know where the Queen is?” The Royal menders answered and said no, your majesty. Then he went back to his throne and said to his Royal Footman  “ go and find the Queen I have something to tell her”.

The king waited on his throne all morning for the Queen to but she didn’t come. When it was lunch time the bell rang and the king walked to the Banquet hall alone. He was very upset because no one remembered his birthday. His Royal Footman opened the door for him. “Surprised” the banquet hall was full of people. The flowers from the royal gardeners were everywhere. There was a banner hanging on the wall that said Happy birthday.

There was a huge cake on the table for the king. Everybody was  cheering and clapping. The king was on his chair and looked if the Queen was on her chair but she wasn’t there so the king said “ where is she” he wondered when suddenly the cake exploded in front of the king.  BOOM!!!!

Then the king saw that the Queen was surprising  him for his birthday so she sang him happy birthday. The end.

I hope you enjoyed my story about the king’s birthday. Stay home and stay safe
