In the weekend

In the weekend on Saturday 22 my uncle and me ,my brother went to pick up my nana. When we got home I saw my friend from school. Her name was Breanna. She is 8 years old.

Then we all walked to my dads shop. My dad owns a shop that is called Moonlight tattoo shop. Then I went to play with my friends. Whenever my friends come they always bring money so we brought some Ice cream for ourselves.

I felt really happy when I went home because it felt good to spend time with my nana.

I hope you enjoyed you enjoyed my writing about my weekend because I did.

Dianas home

Today I learned that some people get forced to go to a different country. Today I am going to write about Diana. Diana came to NZ in 2017 from Samoa. She came to NZ because she got adopted by her uncle and aunt. She misses her mum and her family every single day, so whenever her cousin comes she asks if she can use her laptop to face call her mum and family.

When it was her first time at school, she didn’t even know how to speak english. Then she met Hanna. Diana was so lucky because she learnt some english in Samoa. When they met they became good friends.

Dianas favourite thing in New Zealand is school. Then she said that she was going to make a plan to go to Samoa in the holidays.

Spring Acrostic Poem

Spring starts in September and ends in 3 months

Pollinators bees and butterflies fly to a flower then to another flower.

Rain and sun makes a beautiful rainbow.

It’s really peaceful in spring

Nasty grasshoppers with their annoying noise, they live in the grass down below.

Grass grows greener and greener.

The Sons of Ma'afu

Long ago, a man called Ma’afu was a tongan chief. He had two sons named Ma’afutoka and Ma’afulele.

They were so naughty that the people were scared of them. Ma’afu wanted to make sure that they grew up handsome and strong but when they grew up, they were naughty.

The people were so tired of them that they told the chief to send them to get water from Ataheva. Their dad knew what lived there, there lived a big duck. Their dad didn’t want to send his sons to Ataheva but he knew that a real chief will always always listen to their people.

They got their coconut and went to get water. When they got their water they saw the big and dangerous duck.         Then they killed the duck all by themselves. They didn’t even need any weapons to kill the duck. They used their own hands. Then they went home with the duck to feed all the people.

When they got home the people were still frightened because they killed the dangerous creature. Then the people told the chief to tell them to go and get water from Muihatafa in the deep end. So they went to get water from Muihatafa. When they got there, they went to the deep end to get water. As soon as they swim to land the fish appears. It was big but one of the brothers put his hand in the fish's gills and died.

Then they went home with the fish but the people were still scared because they killed the most dangerous creature in the world.

Then the people told the chief to tell them to live somewhere else. So the brothers said ok but it must be close so that we can see each other all the time. So they went and took the duck and the fish to live in the stars.
