My autumn poem

Autumn is when corn is harvested.

Under the tall trees are beautiful birds chirping above me.

Tree leaves colours are red, green, orange and brown.

Under my cold feet are nice crispy and crunchy leaves.

March 1st is autumn and on autumn is when people grow vegetables and fruits.

Near me are falling acorns and colorful leaves.

Follow-up activity - The Storm

Can you describe what it is to be caught in a storm ?  Very scary and  frightening.

Try use your senses to describe what you can see, hear, smell, taste and feel. I can see mountains and trees. I can hear bushes moving. I can smell stinky poop from the cows. I can taste the dust blowing in the air. I can feel the wind blowing my face.

You might also try to describe how you might be feeling such as scared, afraid, and alone.I am scared when I am alone. Very very scary when I see no one outside. I’m going to be afraid when the storm hits close to me.

Here is a picture I drew in my writing book.

The Lone Figure

"A lone figure trudged along the road.

The sun was warm, and the figure felt the comforting warmth of the sun’s rays as they shone down from the sky.

It looked like the weather was about to change suddenly as the clouds gathered above the distant peaks of the mountain range.

To be caught in the chaos of a mighty storm is not a pleasant experience. The lone figure’s slow walk became a run; if he didn’t find safety soon who knew what might happen…"

Can you describe what might happen next?

This is what I came up with:
The lone figure saw some trees nearby so he ran there. Before the storm was about to start the lone figure saw someone under a tree. He sneakily went behind the tree and looked if he or she was okay. He thought to himself if he could be brave to talk to the person under the tree. He bravely went around the tree and saw the little girl crying because she was scared of the storm. She was really scared because whenever the storm hit it would be so loud, fast and big. So they met each other and waited patiently for the storm to go away. When the storm finished, they walked around to look for food. Then they became good friends.

The catch

Once there was a boy that was fishing in a little pond. He saw his stick moving so he grabbed it, but the fish was so small. He put it in his basket and then looked around and heard a noise coming from behind the bush. He went over to see what it  was and it was a fox that got stuck by a trap.

He grabbed his knife and cut the rope , then the fox smelt a fish. When the boy came out to see  where the fox went the fox took his fish, then he chased after the fox. The fox ran under a spiky bush. The boy was brave to go under the spiky bush and he kept chasing the fox. He caught the fox with his hands but the fox ran away again.

Then they were climbing a big mountain. When he got higher and higher into the fog his hat fell down and then he got mad. He kept climbing until finally he made it on top of the mountain. Before he could get the fox , the fox threw the fish away then all the fog, went away and he saw a big lake full of big fishes.

When he was looking through the water a big shadow came over him. The shadow that he saw was an enormous fish. He was amazed how big it was. Then the fox gave the boy a stick to fish with.
After they were finished the boy caught a big fish and a small fish. The boy gave the fox the small fish and went home. Then the fox turned into dust.
